RIP: Nyia Page
It should be noted that prior to his conviction for the MURDER of Nyia, William Page was arrested (and in jail) for connection with the sexual assault of a 6 year old boy.
According to a police affidavit, Page confessed to murdering his daughter during the early morning hours of February 3, 2007. Page allegedly told detectives that he woke up sometime after midnight and found Nyia playing in front of a mirror in the upstairs hallway of their home. Page said he became angry when she refused to return to bed and he struck her with the back of his fist. The blow was administered with such force that Nyia was thrown backwards, at which time she struck her head on a nearby wall, knocking her unconscious, police said.
Page then wiped blood from Nyia’s head with a towel, wrapped her in a blanket, and carried her outside. Page told police he took Nyia to an isolated spot near some railroad tracks, a few blocks from his house. He said she was unconscious but breathing. He then laid her down in the snow, walked back home, and went to sleep.
Investigators surmise that at some point during the night, Nyia regained consciousness and wandered around, looking for her house. She was barefoot and wearing only a sweater. Searchers found her diaper on the tracks where her father said he had left her, and they later found tiny footprints in the snow. Somehow, the brave little girl managed to climb up 17 snow-covered steps to a wooded knoll, where she collapsed, curled up into the fetal position, and went to sleep. Sadly, she never woke up again.

This story is heartbreaking. How can a someone do this… How can a father do this, then go home and go to sleep like nothing happened. What kind of conscious does he have..None whatsoever. He should not have been allowed around children while they were investigating the assault case.

Sad. A man killign his own daughter!! He walked her outside…Why not call for help and takt the child abuse charge…she would still be here. In the Snow dude!!! RUFS?! Whatever he gets or has gotten he deserves. That was a child; she prob just wanted to be with him.

Wow.
This is truly a shame. Due to personal beliefs, I do not feel as though the little girl suffered miserably or died alone, even. As my grandmother always says, “God looks out for children.”
The most shameful part of this article is that this “man” hit his own baby enough to knock her out over something so ridiculous and then carried her out of the house, placed her out in the snow to freeze, and then went home and took a damn nap!
He has no heart.
It’s bad enough that he did that to a child, but to his OWN blood?

Has anyone seen the movie “Braveheart” were the Englishmen tie Mel Gibson up and horses pull his limbs. That’s what this mf needs only a rope should be tied around his penis as well. Lord may this poor child’s soul rest in peace and hopefully she just went to sleep and didn’t suffer.

My God, reading this story brought tears to my eyes when I imagined what that little girl went though wandering around in the snow. She was probably scared and confused. Seeing her precious little face added to my sadness. She seemed like a loving child who was full of life and energy. I wonder what could have happened if she was allowed to grow up in a safe environment. How can people be so cruel? Jia I have you props for this amazing website. You are giving a voice to individuals who may not have one. However at the same time I have such a hard time visiting this website because I always leave with a heavy heart and so much sadness knowing that there are people out there hurting innocent children. How do we stop sick ass people from hurting the innocent, especially children? What hurts more is that most of us who do care aren’t sure what we can do to prevent such atrocities from happening. That is the most frustrating part in all of this. Perhaps we can bring justice to the victim but how can we stop the murders, rapes, molestations all together? I suppose the peace of mind we do have is that Nyia is in a better place and experiencing pure joy.

If I could I would do alot more than back hand him! This was his child…what the hell was he thinking about when he hit her with a fist and then just left her for dead and went back to sleep????? He obviously has issues and never needs to be released from prison again.

My heart aches…How could he do this to a poor defenseless child..Just knowing how she died makes it that much more painful..beaten and then dumped outside like trash…alive no less, freezing, and blissfully unaware of what in the world was going on…very sicking..May he burn in hell for his sins!
