Body of Missing Student Found

Posted in Found Dead on April 21, 2011 by projectnewera

Baltimore City Police confirm a body found in the Susquehanna River near the Conowingo Dam is missing North Carolina student Phylicia Barnes. Her father and brother first told WJZ about the positive identity Thursday afternoon.

Mike Hellgren reports the bodies of a man and a woman were found Wednesday.

The autopsies began at 10 a.m. Thursday at the medical examiner’s office. Medical examiners compared the missing North Carolina teen’s dental records with one of two bodies found on the Susquehanna River.

The bodies were in bad shape, so bad police couldn’t tell what race they were. But they knew one was a man and another was a woman.

Different Day, Same Scenario: 2 Year Old Beat to Death with Basketball Shoe by Mother’s Boyfriend

Click HERE to watch the video (which gives MUCH more detail)!

A Memphis, Tennessee man is in police custody after authorities say he beat a 2-year-old to death with a basketball shoe after she accidentally defecated on the floor.

Police report that 23-year-old Calvin Jones was babysitting his girlfriend’s 2-year-old daughter when the child had an accident on the floor.

Jones told police that he “disciplined” the child with a basketball shoe and the back of his hand, smacking her several times.

When the child’s mother, 21-year-old Anisha Alford returned, the child reportedly complained of not feeling well and was cold to the touch.

A witness tells police they saw the child gagging and spitting up with her eyes rolling in the back of her head but say Alford refused to take her to a hospital. Instead the couple went to sleep and woke up in the morning to find the child dead.

Jones faces charges of first degree murder and aggravated child abuse. Alford has been charged with first degree child abuse as well.

Jersey Couple Murdered Right After Engagement Party

Posted in Found Dead, Murdered, Project New Era on April 5, 2010 by projectnewera

Just hours after friends joyfully toasted them at their engagement party, a couple lay dead on a Jersey City street this morning, shot during what police said was a possible carjacking.

College sweethearts Michael Muchioki, 27, and Nia Haqq, 25, had planned to marry next April, those close to them said. On Saturday evening, the couple celebrated their engagement with friends and family at Delta’s, a soul food restaurant in New Brunswick, and then at a larger gathering at Perle, a club and lounge also in the Middlesex County city.

Afterward, a friend said, they begged off going to a diner, opting to return to Muchioki’s Jersey City apartment in Haqq’s Honda CRV. Police said the couple were shot around 3 a.m., a few doors from Muchioki’s home.

Today, as the news spread, their loved ones, shocked and devastated, arrived at Muchioki’s Randolph Avenue home. Many stood outside crying and hugging one another.

“My heart has been ripped out,” said Muchioki’s mother, Sandra Muchioki. “We will celebrate him (Muchioki) for the rest of our lives.”

Hudson County Prosecutor Edward DeFazio said the couple were found dead near Haqq’s vehicle. Each had been shot twice, each once in the head, he said.

Based on the crime scene and witness statements, authorities believe the couple were approached by three carjackers — a man and two women — after they parked, but that an anti-theft device prevented the car from being easily moved, DeFazio said.
He said the carjackers left the scene in a gold Pontiac Grand Am.

Mother, Her Two Children & Sister Murdered

Posted in Found Dead, Murdered, Project New Era, Ridiculousness on March 28, 2010 by projectnewera

About 12 hours after a mother, her two children and her sister were shot to death inside their Upper 9th Ward home, about a dozen men, women and children packed a relative’s kitchen.

Angel Davis, 25; Jamaria Ross, 7; Joseph Davis, 4; and Malekia Davis, 17, all died from multiple gunshot wounds sometime late Thursday, according to John Gagliano, chief investigator for the Orleans Parish coroner’s office.

Detectives on Friday did not know what circumstances led to the bloodbath. Joseph Ross, the children’s father, aided the investigation through the day, Assistant Police Superintendent Marlon Defillo said.

“We’re working this (case) hard,” Defillo added.

Joseph Ross returned to the family home at 1940 Clouet St. after work Thursday about 11:45 p.m. and found his girlfriend, their children and his girlfriend’s sister lying in separate areas of the home, bleeding badly.

Ross called 911. However, all four died before officers and paramedics could arrive to help them, police said.

“I want my family back,” Ross told an Associated Press reporter outside his home. “They never did nothing to nobody. We don’t do nothing but go to work and come home again.”

Ross told the reporter that the mother of his children was shot while hiding in a closet.

Body Found: Shaniya Davis

Shaniya Davis

A couple days ago, I was sent information from a follower on Twitter about a case involving a young girl named Shaniya Davis from Fayetteville, North Carolina. According to reports, Shaniya was reported missing by her mother, Antoinette Nicole Davis (below, left) on Tuesday November 10th and authorities began searching for her about an hour later, suspecting foul play.
manda

According to arrest reports, Davis “knowingly provided Shaniya Davis with the intent that she be held in sexual servitude” and she “permit(ted) an act of prostitution.” Shaniya was “given” to 29-year old Mario Andrette McNeil (pictured right) for sexual favors in exchange for drugs and/or cash. McNeil was spotted on security camera carrying Shaniya into a Sanford Comfort Suites hotel.

shaniya-marioand450

Sadly, Shaniya’s body was found today in an area bordered by Highway 87 south and Walker Road – just south of Sanford – during a second day of searching.

This has got to be one of the sickest stories I’ve posted on Project New Era to date. How horrible to know that a mother would literally sell their child to a pedophile in exchange for drugs? I will post more later….

A Milwaukee man is charged with first-degree intentional homicide in the death of a woman whose body was found in his basement.

A criminal complaint filed Monday in Milwaukee County Circuit Court charges 29-year-old Calvin Pirtle in the killing of Yasmine Tatum-Massey.

Authorities say Pirtle’s girlfriend found blood in their home last Wednesday and called police after finding the body inside a plastic bag in a garbage container in the basement.

An autopsy showed the victim was strangled.

The complaint quotes Pirtle as telling officers he recognized Tatum-Massey as having been with two people who robbed him earlier, and he lured her to the home to have sex and later choked her when she fought him.

*Editor’s Note: Before I catch any “flack” about having someone who is not African-American on the site, let me preface by saying that THIS was, in my humble opinion, a hate crime. Hate crimes are becoming far more common than ever and I’m afraid the statistics involving hate crimes will only increase now that we have elected Barack Obama as president. The victims, as shown in the photo, were an interracial couple murdered by FOUR BLACK men. This story is absolutely heart wrenching. It is said that Quiana was in the process of writing Thank You notes (for the wedding) when the accused came into the house, tortured both victims and raped her before killing them both, execution style. Why?

Court records indicate four Marines acknowledged they had roles in the robbery, sexual assault and murder of a Camp Pendleton-based Iraq veteran and his wife last month in Riverside County.

Pvt. Kevin Darnell Cox, 20, of Tennessee; Pvt. Emrys John, 18, of Maryland; Lance Cpl. Tyrone Miller, 20, of North Carolina; and Pvt. Kesuan Sykes, 21, of California face murder charges in connection with the case.

The four were charged Tuesday with the execution-style slayings of Marine Sgt. Jan Pawek Pietrzak and Quiana Faye Jenkins-Pietrzak. The couple, who were originally from New York, were found gagged, tied and shot in the head on Oct. 15 in the living room of their home in Winchester. Sheriff’s deputies were called after the sergeant failed to show up for work.

The couple’s home was ransacked and jewelry and other items were taken. A fire was set, apparently in an effort to destroy evidence. The Camp Pendleton-based Marine sergeant and his wife were tortured before they were shot execution-style, according to a published report.

Investigators said they believe the motive was financial in nature.

Pietrzak’s mother, Henryka Pietrzak-Varga, prepared herself the possibility that her son could die in Iraq, but, in her words, “to die like this, in their own home? They were good kids. They didn’t deserve to die like this.”

The couple married in August and had been living off-base in Winchester in a five-bedroom home they recently purchased that had been foreclosed, according to the paper.

Raped & Murdered: Dymia Woody

GREENVILLE, S.C. — The Greenville County Coroner’s Office said a missing girl whose body was found in a closet in a vacant home was sexually assaulted and then suffocated.

The body of 8-year-old Dymia Woody was found in a mobile home at 104 Carly Drive late Monday night.

The discovery was made by a search dog that was helping locate the girl after her mother reported her missing around 10:30 p.m. Monday.

Deputies said the dog found an open door on the vacant mobile home, went inside and found Woody’s body inside a closet.

The coroner’s office said Woody died from asphyxiation because of a breathing obstruction. They said there were also visible signs of sexual assault on Woody’s body.

The coroner’s office said they are being vague about the circumstances surrounding the girl’s death to protect the integrity of the investigation.

Deputies spent much of Tuesday morning collecting DNA and clothing samples from people in the community.

Residents said they are shocked and that Woody was not the type of child to stay out too late. They describe their neighborhood as tight-knit, where everyone knows each other.

“This is horrible,” said Renee Woody, Dymia’s mother. “I wouldn’t wish this on anybody, and I don’t know why this happened. I just want answers. That’s all.”

As of 4 p.m. Tuesday, deputies had not made an arrest in the case.

Murdered: Alicia Ray

*Editor’s Note: Special thanks to Izzy for giving me a bit more insight to the type of person Alicia was. It’s a shame that such a beautiful and talented girl had to be murdered so senselessly.

Original Article Found at Sacbee

Alicia Ray did what many do at 20 years old: try to find their way.

Six weeks ago, the 2006 Sheldon High School graduate, moved back to Sacramento. She had moved to Texas in December 2007 with her mother, Eugena Taylor. But Texas was no substitute for the native Californian. According to Ray’s mother, she longed for a return to Sacramento.

Sunday, firefighters found Ray’s body at a 2205 West El Camino Road apartment where she had temporarily been staying with a friend. Her body was burned, and it appeared she had been strangled.

On Tuesday, Jose Duarte, 21, was charged with first-degree murder in connection with Ray’s death. He also was charged with felony use of a dangerous weapon and with arson. He did not enter a plea during his arraignment in Sacramento Superior Court.

Ray’s relatives say the young woman was strangled with a USB computer cord. Authorities told them her body was burned in an attempt to cover up the act.

“I know she didn’t deserve it,” said Xinh Nguyen, a longtime friend of Ray.

When Ray returned to Sacramento earlier this summer, relatives said they didn’t see or hear from her much. She sent a text message to her brother, Lindbergh Carey, just before coming to Sacramento but did not contact him once she arrived, he said.

“I kind of knew something was up because you hadn’t talked to her,” he said, adding that the two usually stayed in regular contact.

Maurice Bass, Ray’s cousin, said they spoke about three weeks after her arrival.

“She didn’t let me know that she was in Sacramento right away,” he said. He offered to let her stay at his home, but she wasn’t interested.

Nguyen said she didn’t even know Ray had returned to Sacramento until she heard about her death.

The night before Ray’s body was found, she was at a friend’s apartment, working on the computer and sending text messages until around 10 p.m., according to her mother. At about 10:30 p.m., her mother said, she called the friend at whose apartment she was found and asked if it was OK to have a man over.

That is the last contact that anyone had with Ray, according to her mother.

Ray’s plan had been to go Sacramento to find a job and rejuvenate herself, her mother said.

Carey said it is unclear if his sister was truly looking for a job.

Relatives said they didn’t know many of Ray’s friends.

“It’s just a big question mark in the middle I didn’t know,” said Bass, her cousin. “It just don’t make sense and that upsets me.”

None of the Ray’s family had met Duarte.

Ray’s remains will be flown to Los Angeles – where she was born – for burial.

*Editor’s note: Stories such as the one posted below are becoming more and more common, especially as it pertains to black children who are forced into the foster care system. You feel for these children because in most cases, they’re tossed around like a rag doll from home to home, constantly being made to feel as though they’re not loved or wanted. What I’m finding to also be a common practice is that many social workers are now taking on the practice of simply putting a child “somewhere,” as this “somewhere” is often mistaken for better than “nowhere.” Although I am not pointing the finger at ALL social workers because there are several out there who value their jobs and take pride in creating the best and most ideal situation for each case they’re in charge of, I still can’t help but to wonder how the ‘bad seeds’ manage to slip through the cracks and why MORE isn’t being done to prevent stories like the one posted below from happening? As a community, there has to be something that we can do. A child should not have to throw him or herself from a window in an effort to find assuagement from an otherwise ‘not so good’ situation. I feel for these children, as they generally can’t speak for themselves. Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood and an extreme advocate of women taking control of their bodies, proposed an idea in her speech entitled The Children’s Era that basically stated that just as you would interview a teacher or cook before allowing them to work for you, children should have those same rights. Sanger understood that children could not, obviously, speak for themselves in utero; however, she proposed that potential parents be given a battery of mental and physical tests to ensure that children were being placed in the most ideal situation. Although this test would not be 100% fool proof, it would most certainly lessen several incidences related to the death of children who are not being regarded as humans. What are your thoughts? Please feel free to post them here or email them to me at projectnewera@gmail.com.

PhotobucketTwo girls’ bodies were found in a freezer in Lusby home after a third girl jumped from a second-story window Friday to escape her adopted mother, according to the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office.

A 7-year-old girl was left unattended in a locked room at the home on Buckskin Trail, investigators said. After jumping from the window, she was found by residents on Pawnee Trail, who called the sheriff’s office. The girl appeared to be extremely abused and neglected and is receiving treatment at Children’s Hospital.

A search of the home on Buckskin led to the discovery of human remains in a freezer, according to the sheriff’s office.

Upon learning that her adopted 7-year-old daughter had been picked up by sheriff’s deputies, 43-year-old Renee Bowman contact the sheriff’s office and confessed to beating the girl with a hard-heeled shoe, investigators said.

Investigators learned that Bowman adopted three girls from the District of Columbia. Bowman told authorities the human remains are those of her other two adopted daughters, another 7-year-old girl and a 9-year-old girl. Bowman said the remains had been in the freezer since before she moved to Lusby from Rockville in February 2008.

The three children were in the D.C. Child and Family Services system but were assigned to private contractor Board of Child Care, which is headquartered in Baltimore but has an office in the District, according to D.C. Council Member Tommy Wells, the chair of the Human Services Committee, which oversees child and family services.

The freezer was taken to the medical examiner’s office in Baltimore.

Bowman is being held on first-degree child abuse charges.

Anyone with information about the case should call Maryland State Police at 410-535-1400 or the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office at 410-535-2800, extension 2454.

Authorities this afternoon identified a woman found dead in a car west of West Palm Beach on Saturday as 22-year-old Irma Simeus of West Palm Beach.

Simeus’ body was found about 9:30 a.m. Saturday in a silver Honda Civic parked at an overgrown dead end near the Bella Lago apartments, according to a statement circulated by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

The woman leaves behind a 4-year-old son, Javon, and a fledgling career as a medical assistant. She graduated in May from Florida Career College in suburban West Palm Beach.

“We don’t have any clues, any leads,” her sister, Kerlyne Luc, said. “We’re just waiting for the investigation to come up with something.”

Family members were unaware of Simeus’ plans during the time of the incident, said Joseph Simeus, the woman’s father. Joseph Simeus is a Palm Beach Post employee.

Investigators converged Saturday on the apartment complex near Elmhurst Road, just south of Okeechobee Boulevard, where they found a black wig, a shoe and a hairbrush near the blood-smeared Honda.

Detectives have yet to specify how Simeus was killed but are calling the death a homicide. Anyone who was in the Elmhurst Road area, west of Haverhill Road, on Friday night or early Saturday morning can call the sheriff’s Violent Crimes Division at (561) 688-4000 or Crime Stoppers at (800) 458-TIPS (8477).

Pregnant & Murdered: Tavia Sills

Original Article Found at Shreveport Times

Tavia Sills tucked the ultrasound photo in the baby book and named him Tavion Demond.

The 18-year-old planned to welcome her baby boy into the world Jan. 18. In anticipation of his arrival, she bought him T-shirts, booties, rattles and a baby stroller.

“Tay was so excited about this child,” said her mother, Vickie Britton. “All she talked about is how she was going to take care of her son and what she was going to do with him.”

But Sills will never get the opportunity to hold her child or push him in the stroller. The mother-to-be, a freshman at Southern University in Shreveport who was missing for three days, was found fatally shot and floating in a north Shreveport pond Friday. Police say they have recovered the handgun that was used.

Sills’ ex-boyfriend and the alleged father of her unborn child — LaMondre Tucker, of the 2300 block of Jamison Street — is charged with first-degree murder. More arrests are possible, Shreveport police Detective Rod Demery said.

“I don’t know what happened; they were childhood friends,” Britton said. “They dated in middle school, and again after they got older. They broke up, and all Tay wanted was for him to be a part of the baby’s life.”

Britton last saw her daughter when Tucker picked her up about 7:30 p.m. Sept. 9 to meet his cousin in Shreveport’s Queensborough neighborhood.

About an hour later, he returned to Sills’ Hazel Street residence to tell her family he’d dropped her off at a nearby apartment complex — where her sister lived.

“I knew immediately something was wrong,” Britton said. “It was just a mother’s instinct. I called the police because it didn’t seem right and Mondre acted a little nervous.”

Double Homicide

Murderers, Dominique Smith (pictured left) & Trendall Matthews

PhotobucketThe details of the double murder at the BREC park were made public Tuesday. They describe Monday’s double murder as a “love triangle gone very wrong.”
Investigators say a complicated love triangle led to the killings of a Baker woman and her three-year-old son at a BREC park in Zachary. The victims have been identified as 23-year-old Jessica Johnson Palmer and her son, Juan Palmer, Jr. Her two daughters were also injured, but survived.

Johnson’s former boyfriend, Dominique Dantoni Smith of Zachary, and his current girlfriend, Trendall Lashel Matthews of Jackson, Louisiana were arrested overnight. Matthews is a second-cousin of the victim, according to relatives.

PhotobucketBoth are charged with two counts of first degree murder and two counts of attempted first degree murder. “They actually lured Jessica to the park along with her children, where the killings took place,” said sheriff’s department spokeswoman Casey Hicks.

Detectives believe the killings took place sometime Sunday evening at Doyle’s Bayou Park on Pride-Port Hudson Road.
After the killings took place, the two young girls spent the evening in the park. They were discovered Monday afternoon by a BREC working cutting grass in. Johnson and her son were found in wooded area of the park.

PhotobucketPhotobucketDeputies are praising a four-year-old with saving another life. Four-year-old Lindsay Paige Johnson is being considered a hero. According to investigators, after the murders, the four-year-old, whose own throat had been cut, saved her baby sister.
“If you can imagine a little 4-year-old, who had been cut, pick up her 6-month-old infant sister and carrying her out of those woods and get as far as she did to the front of the park. That’s just a miracle,” Sheriff Sid Gautreaux says.

*Editor’s Note: I’ve always wondered what goes through a social workers’ mind when they fail to act on tips they receive regarding children who are being mistreated? This is my NO means pointing a dirty finger at all social workers. It is, however, saying that cases regarding the abuse/mistreatment of children should not go on without investigation. Sure, some people tell tall tales out of spite or due to misunderstanding…but when it comes to children, all cases are worth investigating. May Jewell, Michael and Innocent rest in peace.

A deranged Long Island mom killed her three young children – apparently by drowning them – and laid their wet corpses side by side on her bed, police sources said yesterday.

Leatrice Brewer, 27, then called 911, but may have tried to kill herself first, the sources said.

A homicide detective said today one child’s throat was cut and all three showed signs of possible poisoning.

The shocking crime evoked memories of murderous mom Andrea Yates, who drowned all five of her kids in her Texas home in 2001.

Yesterday, when officers arrived at the home on Prospect Avenue in New Cassel at about 9 a.m., Brewer was standing at the top of a staircase and summoned them inside.

Police found 6-year-old Jewell Ward and her brothers, Michael Demesyeux, 4, and Innocent Demesyeux, 1, dead on their mom’s bed.

The father of Michael and Innocent, Innocent Demesyeux Sr., briefly stopped by the home and was clearly distraught.

“I think she planned it. She should get what she deserves,” the grieving dad said.

Photobucket Grand Prairie police were searching Monday for a man they believe was involved in the slaying of a DeSoto cabdriver Sunday night.

The body of Lois Ivory, 53 – a mother of several grown children who had been driving taxis for at least 18 years – was found seated in her Yellow Cab in the 100 block of Dorris Drive about 9 p.m., police said.

She had been shot once, probably with a revolver, police said.

A judge has issued an arrest warrant for 31-year-old Eric Christopher Hodges, who was Ms. Ivory’s final fare of the evening.

Investigators said they did not have a motive for the killing.

“There were two people that do know what happened; our victim is one of them, and the shooter is the other,” Detective John Brimmer said.

It was unclear why Ms. Ivory was in the neighborhood where her body was found, he said, but residents said her yellow van had been parked there for more than an hour.

“We don’t think that this guy knows anybody in that neighborhood,” Detective Brimmer said.

Ms. Ivory was a single mother with two sons and two daughters, longtime friend June Williams said Monday.

She had been driving taxis as long as Ms. Williams had known her – about 18 years – and enjoyed it because she enjoyed people.

“She was an outgoing person,” Ms. Williams said. “I don’t think she ever met a stranger.”

Ms. Ivory was also president of World-Wide Independent Transportation, which she formed as an umbrella company for taxi drivers so they could receive insurance and other benefits. Ms. Williams, the organization’s secretary, said it had not yet gotten off the ground.

“We had seen so many of them get killed; no insurance, no nothing,” she said.

Laquille Bryant has officially been charged with double homicide

*Editor’s Note: Above is a confession from Laquille Bryant. I guess it’s too late to say it but…I wish Ms. Wright would’ve listened and stayed involved in the witness protection program. They truly had it OUT for her. In reading some of the other articles, I also believe that SOMEBODY that she knows may have tipped the murderer off. Had to. If she had been in Jacksonville, Florida for that long and only went back to Philly to visit an ailing relative, how could she have been killed within 7 hours of that if SOMEBODY didn’t tip him/them off? Nonetheless, I was not able to find a picture of Octavia Green, who was also killed in this incident. May they both rest in peace.

Original Article Found at ABC Local

PhotobucketA Philadelphia man is behind bars, charged with last month’s murders of two women sitting in a car – one of whom was in the witness protection program.

25-year-old Laquille Bryant is the man police now say brutally murdered Chante Wright along with her friend Octavia Green back on January 19th.

“These two women were murdered brutally inside of a vehicle and it appears that they clearly knew their killer,” said Chief Inspector Keith Sadler of the Philadelphia Police Department.

Chante Wright was set to testify in the murder trial of Hakeem Bey, accused of gunning down Moses Williams in 2000. After the other witness in the case, Omar Morris, was gunned down, Chante was placed in the federal witness protection program, relocated to Jacksonville, Florida, her last named changed to Jackson.

She was told to stay away from Philadelphia for her protection, but she took a chance and came back to see her gravely ill grandmother and was murdered less than 7 hours later.

The question is, was Laquille Bryant acting alone or on behalf of someone who ordered the hit?

Unsolved Incident: Mario Williams

*Editor’s Note: I was sent this article via email and of course wanted to post it to see if anyone knew anything. You may want to first read THIS ARTICLE, as it details more of the events leading up to Mr. Williams death. I just hope that someone knows something. If you read the article below, you’ll notice that his friends brought his jacket, cell and charger to his parents house. My question is…who leaves behind ALL of that? It’s only in rare instances that I leave my cell phone at home. Hopefully the city of Canton is putting some effort into solving this mystery. In the meantime, he’s leaving behind a son. May he rest in peace.

Original Article Found at Canton Rep

For much of the last six weeks, the family of Mario A. Williams hoped against hope that the 21-year-old Canton man still was alive after disappearing in late February. He was last seen at the Metropolis nightclub in Cleveland on Feb. 23, attending a rap concert.

The family’s hopes were dashed today. His body was found floating in Lake Erie near Edgewater Park in Cleveland before 11 a.m., said Cleveland police spokesman Lt. Thomas Stacho.

Williams’ body was badly decomposed, but police found an ID on him. Stacho said he did not have details on the circumstances under which Williams was found. It’s not clear how long the body had been in the water, nor how long Williams had been dead.

Stacho said leads uncovered by police before the body was discovered indicated some type of foul play. A photo in Williams’ cell phone that apparently showed him tied up appeared suspicious. Williams’ acquaintances, who accompanied the Canton man to a rap concert, brought the family his cell phone, charger and jacket. The family said the acquaintances claimed Williams, whom they say they last saw in the club, had left the items in one of their cars.

“We were leaning toward this probably not being a voluntary disappearance,” Stacho said. He declined to say what other leads police had.

The police spokesman said it was too early to say whether a criminal act had occurred.

A police report also indicated that Williams was involved in a fight inside the club, while a shooting took place outside the club the night he went missing. It’s not clear if there’s a connection between the shooting and Williams.

A family member identified the body within a few hours, said Cuyahoga County coroner’s office spokesman Powell Caesar. An autopsy will take place Monday in an effort to establish the cause of death.

Williams, of the 1400 block of Miami Court NE, leaves behind a 1-year-old son, Mario Jr.

I tried to find articles related to the capture of her killer but after making calls to the Los Angeles Robbery & Homocide Division, I found that they had not yet caught anyone. If you or anyone you know has ANY information regarding the death of Nicole Harvey, you are encouraged to contact Detective Martinez at (213) 485-2129.

Police responded to the family’s home in the 6100 block of South Hermitage Avenue just before 11 a.m. Friday and inside found the covered bodies of a woman and two men, according to police News Affairs Director Monique Bond.

The bodies were those of Denna McCowen-McCullough, 43; Allen McCullough Jr., 46; and Allen McCullough III, 19; according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Denna McCowen-McCullough was pronounced dead at the scene at about 2 p.m. The younger man was pronounced at 2:05 p.m. and the older man was pronounced at 2:07 p.m.

An autopsy report Saturday showed Denna McCowen-McCullough and Allen McCullough Jr., were both shot in the head. Allen McCullough III suffered multiple gunshot wounds, the medical examiner’s office said.

The sister of the dead woman said the slain are a husband and wife and one of their sons.

Police canvassed the neighborhood Friday but did not have a motive or suspect, Bond said.
