Posted in Missing, Project New Era on October 23, 2011 by projectnewera

More than 100 law enforcement personnel and volunteers are searching for Jahessye Shockley in Glendale, Ariz.

According to Glendale Police, an Amber Alert was issued Tuesday evening when the 5-year-old girl went missing from her family’s home in an apartment complex near Glendale Road and 45th Avenue.

It was around 5 p.m. when Jahessye’s mother returned from running a quick errand and discovered the girl missing, said Officer Tracey Breeden, a Glendale Police Department spokesperson.

Jahessye had been at home with her three siblings, ages 6, 9 and 12.

Breeden said the mother said that when she got home, the front door was open, but Jahessye wasn’t inside and the siblings did not know where she was.

The mother searched around the apartment complex and called 911.

No one else lived at the home with the mother and her children.

Missing: Lauryn Dickens

Posted in Missing on September 21, 2010 by projectnewera

Memphis police said the father of 10-month old Lauryn Dickens may know where she is. The baby has been missing since September 7th. Investigators issued a “City Watch Alert” Friday, September 17 for 10-month-old Lauryn Dickens, who was last seen wearing a brown onesie with a pink flower and pink dots.

Police are questioning family members, friends, and neighbors for clues about where the baby could be.

It’s been two weeks since Lauryn Dickens has been missing. But her mother, Shakara Dickens, waited 10 days to report her daughter missing, after she gave her baby to a complete stranger. Police said their number one concern is the safety of that baby and time may be running out.

“Makes me want to cry looking at her going missing like that,” said a neighbor.

The search started at the Raleigh Apartment complex. Amber Alerts are only issued when a child is abducted and is in imminent danger. So far there’s no evidence that could lead police to believe the child is in harms way. But Eyewitness News spoke with the Commission on Missing and Exploited Children (COMEC) and said the child could be in danger without the police even knowing it.

Neighbors are still angry and they want to know why her mother took so long to report her baby missing.

“She’s a cute baby, she doesn’t need to be missing, she needs to be found,” neighbor Kathey Smith said.

Every day and every hour counts as police try to figure out where the baby girl may be. Lauryn’s mother wanted the child’s father to help care for her, but he’s in jail. Police said that’s when the white female came to the mother’s house and gave the baby away, no questions asked, thinking it was someone the father knew.

Police said the baby girl may be with a Caucasian woman in her mid-40′s with shoulder-length gray hair. She was wearing glasses, a white blouse, khaki pants and sandals.

If you have any information about where they could be call Crime Stoppers at (901) 528-CASH.

Missing: Trudie Hall

Posted in Missing on August 19, 2010 by projectnewera

*Editor’s Note: If you have any information on the whereabouts of Trudie Hall, please call 508-771-6237

New discoveries have been made in the search for missing 23-year-old Trudie Hall; however, there are many mysteries surrounding the expectant mother’s sudden disappearance.

The Barnstable Police are focusing their attention on Quiozel Wilson of Centreville, Mass., just outside of Hyannis, who is believed to be the father of Hall’s unborn child, reports CBS affiliate WBZ.

Thursday afternoon detectives paid a visit to Wilson’s home looking for any clues that would lead them to the Nantucket woman who was reported missing July 28. Police describe Hall, a 23-year-old native of Jamaica, as black, 5 feet, 4 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

According to WBZ, detectives seized bags of evidence, a car and a motorcycle, but after questioning Wilson still have no solid answers regarding Hall’s whereabouts.

Another mystery in the search for Hall is a website entitled “Find Trudie Hall.”

Although the Internet site claims to be “dedicated to helping find Trudie,” Hall’s mother Vivienne Walker has no idea who started it and said she feels “uncomfortable” not knowing who exactly set up the website, according to The Boston Herald.

“No one asked me if they could do this. No one told me they would be using my daughter’s name,” Walker told the Boston newspaper in a phone interview. “I don’t know quite what to say. This is the first time I am hearing of [trudiehall.com] and it is a little bit upsetting.”

TrudieHall.com contains the latest media updates, a timeline detailing her final days, and the number of the Barnstable Police Department.

The Internet site which was set up using WorldPress.org also includes a blog section where you can comment on news articles posted by the unknown operator.

Hall left the island of Nantucket the morning of July 27 bound for Barnstable, according to Walker, but after more than a day of being unable to reach her daughter via text or telephone, she grew concerned.

Walker contacted police who discovered Hall’s rental car which contained traces of blood. So far, police have not found the missing 23-year-old.

Missing: Alexandria “Allie” Phipps

Posted in Missing, Project New Era on March 23, 2010 by projectnewera

Authorities are asking for the public’s help in the search for a 15-year-old girl who was last seen walking to Westlake High School Monday morning. It’s feared the teen may have been abducted, officials said.

Alexandria “Allie” Phipps left her Thousand Oaks home around 7 a.m. Monday to walk to the school, which is about a mile and a half away from her home, according to Det. Eric Buchow of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department.

She never arrived at the school, he said.

Investigators say Phipps, an honors student, moved to the area from Fresno about two months ago and has few friends.

She has no history of running away and is described as a quiet girl with no criminal history.

Her friends, family and teachers said she was happy to be living in the area and attending school in the Westlake area.

Investigators say they fear Phipps may have been kidnapped.

Bloodhounds tracked Phipps’ scent from her house to about a half mile away, where they lost the scent, Buchow told KTLA.

Investigators say the teen’s father lives in Fresno, but they have interviewed him and determined she is not there.

Phipps is 5-foot 8-inches tall, weighs 120 pounds and has red hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing a gold tank top with multicolor horizontal lines, a blue jacket or hoodie with angel wings on the back, blue jeans, black shoes and was carrying a black and red backpack.
